Enjoying The End of Summer in Organic Cotton Clothing from prAna

This is the last unofficial week of summer and even though we are in the midst of a heat wave, it does feel like the end of summer.

It feels like this summer went by way too fast, as does all summers now that I have children, and I just want to soak up every last second of this beautiful weather I can and enjoy every sunny day outdoors in comfortable clothing made from organic cotton.

My kids are just like me and their father – they LOVE to be outside. Just one of the many reasons why we moved out of the city and onto an 11 acre homestead in the middle of a tiny historical town, nestled in the woods, 45 minutes away from civilization.

We go for walks almost every weekend, visit neighbors farms where the kids can pet goats, sheep, horses, and pigs, we go hiking on local trails, visit local ice cream stands, and so much more. This past weekend our town celebrated their 250th Anniversary! It’s actually kind of exciting living in a small town with historic importance such as being the hometown of Uncle Sam. We have such a great little community here too.

We don’t have any close neighbors and our house is set back from the road so the kids have plenty of room to play outside without the worry of strangers or traffic. There is also plenty of room for mommy to get some exercise in too!

These sweet Unity Pants from prAna are the perfect joggers for all my end of summer activities as a busy mom. From jogging in the morning to making the kids lunch in the afternoon to keeping up with my 18-month-old all day, these pants have my back.

Best of all, they have giant front pockets that are big enough for my huge iPhone. That’s the one thing that makes yoga pants and comfy leggings so inefficient for a mom is the lack of pockets. I love sweatpants with pockets and these are definitely my new favorite ones. I’m 5’2″ 124lbs and the size small fits perfect and true to size.

Also, I have to say, I’m realllllly loving these sneakers. This is probably the best splurge purchase I’ve made this year. These adidas by Stella McCartney CrazyMove Pro Sneakers are amazing, super lightweight, wicked comfortable, and really stylish. I got them from Shopbop during their Buy More Save More event and I have no regrets!

Not only are these joggers my new favorite thing, but I’m absolutely loving the super soft Oberlie Hoodie from prAna. I’m not usually a hoodie kind of gal, but this is the kind of hoodie I can get excited about! It has a low scoop neckline in the front so I don’t feel claustrophobic and can easily nurse my baby. It’s sooooooo soft. I mean seriously like we’re talking cashmere sweater soft.  You don’t know real soft until you feel organic cotton. It’s completely different than traditionally produced cotton and will change the way you feel about cotton altogether.

The Oberlie Hoodie is made from 60% Organic Cotton, 30% Nylon, and 10% Merino Wool made into a deliciously soft jersey sweater type knit that makes this an ideal sweater for early morning workouts and those cool fall days that are coming.
